FRUGALI-TEHE

I should shop at the Rialto, Rather than the Tesco
I am constantly upset by the standard of their produce
Always wrapped plastic. Silicon, elastic
I don't understand people who purchase their onions pre cut
Or pay an extra 20 cents for a can of diced tomatoes
A can of whole tomatoes becomes the former pretty fast, bro
But I'm talking to a generation who buy their things on lay-by
You'll cry when you realise what you glossed over in the fine print
You'll wish you'd skipped that wreck less stint and survived on rice and chickpeas
All I've got to offer is some words about Frugali-Tehe
I spend as little as I can coz I'm afraid of numbers
I know the feeling that you get when you get your wages
A spending spree, phones monthly fee
Those jeans, one pair or maybe three
Then your right back where you started
I'll start saving some day
If you think you've got a fall back
You better hope your kids ain't slack
Coz the pensions spent, and you'll still have rent
To pay when you're retired
All I've got to offer is some words about Frugali-Tehe
Pinch those pennies darling, try to buy organic
It's tough to stay ethical and try to line your pockets
Your student loan is looming, baby boomers booming
We're skint as fuck and that's not even counting the overdraft
